SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Asia Finance & Accounting Manager, you will primarily be responsible to oversee the accounts receivable team and close books for the Korea legal entity. Position Responsibilities Review credit and collection policies, set customer’s credit limit, approves customer orders on credit hold, assist in delinquent debts collection and maintain bad debts at minimal level Manage monthly payroll, calculate sales incentives and bonus for Korean employees Prepare bank reconciliation and balance sheet schedules at month end Work with accounting counterparts, financial systems specialists, treasury and IT personnel in Asia and the US, on day-to-day transaction processing Work with auditors, bankers, tax agent, lawyers and government agencies on company’s banking, tax, corporate governance and statutory compliance matters Prepare reports, compile invoices and supporting documents to assist outsourced company in quarterly VAT reporting to Korean tax authorities Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly and year end reporting packages and schedules, and ad hoc reports for Korea Prepare ad-hoc reports for management analysis, budgeting, and statutory reporting from time to time Oversee the Taiwan legal entity in areas such as review journals, payroll, statutory tax filing, etc. Requirements • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy with minimum 5-8 years’ experience in commercial accounting with supervisory experience • Experience in credit control and collection function • Ability to operate effectively cross-culturally and cross-functionally in a complex organization • Able to speak Mandarin and preferably able to read and write traditional Chinese • Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet tight work schedules with minimal guidance • Proactive team player with a high level of initiatives and good interpersonal and communication skills • Hands-on, motivated and independent • Experience in Oracle and Business Object would be an advantage An attractive remuneration/benefits package, and long term career prospects awaits the right candidate.
