Starting New Threads Dos and Don'ts

* DO search for existing topics before starting new threads
* DON'T use all-caps or excessive punctuation in thread titles
* DON'T start a new thread unless you have something of substance to say yourself
* DON'T start threads that amount to simple lists; only reasoned/meaty lists are allowed

Posting Messages Dos and Don'ts

* DON'T post "Me Too!" messages; add something of substance to the conversation
* DON'T pimp your site or product
* DON'T post copyrighted articles; link to them or give credits to the owner
* DON'T post the same thing in multiple areas; pick a spot and go with it

Warnings, Bans and Trolls Dos and Don'ts

* DO take any mod warnings you get seriously
* DON'T bug the mods to remove warnings
* DO help us out and report trolls, flame wars, and troublemakers in the Suggestions & Feedbacks thread. Your thread will be invisible to other guests and members

To prevent deterioration in the remarks in our forums, we have decided to be a bit more explicit about what will get you potentially banned from posting comments.

We honestly don't want to be enforcers. However, to protect the nature of this forum, we have decided on the following rules:

Rule 1: If you do post anything crass or obscene on the forums, you're probably going to be banned immediately, unless it's incredibly funny. Use of excessive swear words is NOT funny, it's boring. A "ban" means you won't be able to make any further comments on these boards. Ever.

Rule 2: Show some respect. If all you want to do is run people down, then maybe this isn't your kind of forum.

Rule 3: Please keep foul language to an absolute minimum.

Rule 4: Smut is dull. And it will now get you banned.

Rule 5: Our moderators will delete/edit content or ban users at our discretion

Also all postings from new members will be moderated after their registration. That means that all posts have to be approved by the forum moderators before they appear on the forum. New members will continue to be moderated until they get 5 or more posts or reach reputation of 15 (registered users start with reputation of 10) .
