Definition Reputation Points (Rep Pts): The higher the points, the more reputable you are. Reputation Power Points (Rep Power Pts): You can influence other member's reputation points, positively or negatively, by your reputation power score. Overview All registered members have rep pts and they can earn their rep pts by contributing more quality posts, providing quality jobs or simply providing a good service. Getting Started All new members will start off with 10 rep pts and 0 rep power pt. How to achieve your first rep power pt? For new members: Minimum rep pts and posts required in order to gain first point of reputation power is 15. That is to say, to have enough "rep power" to influence a member's rep pts, you need to have at least 15 rep pts and contribute a minimum of 15 quality postings. More about rep power For every 365 days, members gain 1 point of rep power. For every 1500 posts, members gain 1 point of rep power. For every 500 points of rep pts, members gain 1 point of rep power. NOTE: Members can only influence one other member's rep pts per day. Members must award reputation to 365 other members before they can hit the same member again. How to influence a member's rep pts? Click on the icon besides the post number and a popup window will appear. Positive Rep:You can influence the other member's rep pts positively by approving to his post or click on "I approve" and submit your comments. Negative Rep:You can influence the other member's rep pts negatively by disapproving to his post or click on "I disapprove" and submit your comments. Note: To protect your identity, your nickname will not be displayed. So you might want to leave down your nickname in the comments field so the receiving member can thank you or return you a favor Only registered and activated users are able to view links or images. Legend Black Square: If a member doesn't have rep power pts or zero rep power pt, then everytime they attempt to influence your reputation, positively or negatively, you will see a black square because it doesn't affect your rep pts. Green Square: If a member has at least one rep power pt, you will see a green square when they give you a positive reputation. Red Square: If a member has at least one rep power pt, you will see a red square when they reduced your rep pt by giving you a negative reputation. Mathematics If a member gives you positive reputation, it basically adds to your reputation point score with their reputation power score, e.g. you have 50 reputation points and I have 30 reputation power points, and I awarded you with positive reputation then your reputation points will go up to 80. If I had 0 reputation power points, your reputation will stay at 50 and you'll see a black square next to it. If I awarded you with a bad reputation and my reputation power is 30 and you have 50 reputation points, then your reputation points will be reduced by half of my reputation power score, and your new reputation points will be 35 (50 - 15). If I had 0 reputation power points, your reputation will not change and you'll get the black square again.
